Better wait 60 Minutes after waking up to have your coffee

As neuroscientist Huberman explains, having a cup of coffee right after waking up may sound like a great idea, but... it's not! Better wait at least 60 minutes after waking up before having coffee.

Why? Cortisol, a stress hormone, is produced in the morning to help wake you up.

Drinking coffee immediately can disrupt the natural wake-sleep cycle by interfering with cortisol production.

Waiting 60 minutes allows cortisol levels to decrease naturally and can maximize the benefits of coffee, such as enhancing alertness and mental performance.
